Anatomical Realism Within Your Reach
PolyJet™ is a versatile photopolymer 3D printing technology that produces highly precise, multi-material models. It allows for complex geometries, intricate details, full-color combinations, transparencies, and flexible parts, all within a single print. It works by converting a CAD model into a printable format. Droplets of photopolymer are then jetted onto a build platform and cured with UV lamps. Support materials are either dissolved or manually removed, resulting in a finished model.
The J5 Digital Anatomy 3D Printer, based on PolyJet technology, creates biomechanically accurate, highly realistic anatomical models. These detailed, patient-specific models enhance surgical preparation, improve patient outcomes, and accelerate product design innovation.
Benefits:
- Point-of-Care: Reduce risks with realistic pre-surgical practice models.
- Patient-Specific: Decrease complications, operating room time, and hospital stays.
- Lab Resource Optimization: Minimize the need for cadavers and animal testing.
- Better Communication: Use anatomical models for more informed consent discussions.
- Full Color Capabilities: Create models with colors, transparencies, textures, and finishes for a realistic look.
Features:
- Biomechanically Accurate: Replicates the look, feel, and responsiveness of human anatomy.
- Intuitive: Remote management software streamlines workflow and adjusts pathologies.
- Compact Yet Powerful: Facility-friendly, safe to operate, with advanced functions that surpass its footprint.

Materials for the J5
The J5 digital anatomy 3D printer allows creating ultra-realistic anatomical models with precise biomechanical performance. This is made possible by using advanced digital anatomy materials like BoneMatrix™, GelMatrix™, TissueMatrix™ and RadioMatrix™. Coupled with sophisticated software, these models simulate the biomechanical properties of tissue and bone, mimicking the reactive qualities of human anatomy during surgery.
Applications of the J5 Printer
The versatile J5 printer finds applications in many medical fields.
-
Point of Care: The J5 improves surgical planning and training with patient-specific anatomical models. It allows for creation of ultra-realistic anatomies that behave and respond like real tissue, helping reduce OR time, costs, and risks.
- Medical Device Manufacturing: The fast and accurate J5 accelerates time-to-market, saving money. Repeatable as well as predictable test conditions augment device development, ensuring reliable part availability when needed.
- Medical Education and Research: A cost-effective platform enables students to engage with interactive teaching aids and master surgical skills. Repeatable, predictable test conditions are designed, and access to biomechanical specimens, even for rare pathologies, is provided.
