Stratasys F870 FDM Printer

Large-Part Manufacturing for the Factory Floor

The Stratasys F870 FDM printer delivers large-part production for jigs, fixtures, and prototypes—with continuous printing, high throughput, and materials engineered for the manufacturing floor. As teams shift from prototyping to full-scale tooling, the F870 fills a key gap in the Stratasys FDM line-up: a large-format system built for the factory, not just the lab. It is well suited for the automotive, aerospace, industrial manufacturing and consumer goods sector.

Primary Applications

  • End effectors for robotic interaction
  • Ergonomic aids: hand tools, lift assists, safety tools
  • Alignment fixtures for accurate assembly
  • Drill guides and alignment jigs
  • Large prototypes using ABS Draft (Gray) for cost-effective iteration

DesignTech Systems, India is a Platinum Partner and authorized distributor / value added reseller for Stratasys 3D printers. We also provide expert technical training, predictive maintenance, and scheduled software and hardware updates for Stratasys 3D Printers.

Built for the Manufacturing Floor

The F870 is purpose-built for additive production beyond the prototyping lab, reliably and repeatedly producing large, strong parts for jigs, fixtures, and full-scale prototypes.

Large Build Volume
With a 1,000 x 610 x 610 mm (39.4 x 24 x 24 in.) build envelope and a fully heated chamber, the F870 prints full-scale jigs, fixtures, and prototypes in a single build with consistent quality.

Nine Materials, One Support System
The F870 launches with nine Stratasys Preferred Materials: FDM Nylon 12CF for high-strength tooling, FDM ASA in six colours, ABS-M30 in black, and new FDM ABS Draft (Gray) for cost-effective large prototypes. A single soluble support material, SR-35, works across the line-up, and materials can be swapped in under 20 minutes.

The F870 shares its high-capacity spool design with the F3300, allowing manufacturers to interchange materials, streamline inventory, and reduce downtime across both platforms.

Uninterrupted Production
Four onboard dryer bays with regenerative drying keep filament at the right moisture level for repeatable prints. Combined with 4,100 cm³ spools and automatic material changeover, the F870 supports up to two weeks of continuous, unattended printing.

High-Throughput
Three “N” style print heads – N14, N20H, and N25 – offer flexibility across speed, strength, and resolution. The N25 high-speed head prints ASA up to twice as fast as the standard N14 without sacrificing accuracy.

Simplify Your Factory Workflow
Program jobs with GrabCAD Print or Insight. GrabCAD Print handles multiple parts with some customization, while Insight suits high-customization jobs; use them together for packing, or use FDM Control Center when Insight is installed separately. Upgrade to GrabCAD Print Pro for labelling, textures, 2D/3D arrays, part cost estimation, and more. The system is MTConnect-enabled for factory monitoring integration.

Built for Real Manufacturing
The F870 serves factory-floor jigs and fixtures, large functional prototypes, and production support tooling across automotive, aerospace, and industrial manufacturing.
